Responsiveness and usage

Understand speech detection, context, recovery and the single voice price.

Speech detection

Automatic settings use 300 ms of silence to detect the end of speech. Saved advanced overrides take priority. This is a detection delay, not a guarantee of total response time. Increase it gradually if hesitations are cut off; check sensitivity and received audio if short confirmations are missed.

BeAI restores silence omitted by the carrier so the end of a sentence can be detected. It creates no speech or transcript. The inactivity alert checks whether a silent caller is present; it should not be used as the normal response delay. Keep the reference of a problematic call for diagnosis.

Context and recovery

Instructions and conversation history provide context at each exchange. Processed tokens do not equal spoken words. Long calls may reuse context repeatedly. Compression can remove older turns from the active context without deleting BeAI’s readable history. Missing or contradictory information must be confirmed before a write.

In DEV, BeAI attempts to resume after a connection interruption from a usable recovery point, without repeating the greeting. Recovery requires temporary context retention by the service. It does not guarantee uninterrupted calls or all final words being preserved. Attempts are limited to three per incident with a bounded buffer.

Recovery may pause while an action is pending or unconfirmed. BeAI does not execute the same action identifier twice. Check the business outcome before requesting an action again after an interruption. Recovery references and the replay buffer remain in memory during the call.

Instructions and tools

Specify the role, language, information to collect and required confirmations. Business instructions and advanced settings are preserved. BeAI groups spoken announcements before a sequence of actions and sends compact results while retaining required business fields. Authorised history retains the detailed result.

The bot language helps recognition without imposing one language on the caller. Verify important names, dates and amounts before an action: transcription can contain errors.

Understand the price

Voice calls use your organisation’s single voice price, or your subscription terms. Technical settings do not create a second voice tariff. Minimum billable durations, options and telephony tariffs still apply.

Technical consumption and supplier estimates are restricted to platform administrators and hidden by default. See Conversation history and Voice pricing.
